Deschool, Declass and Deprofessionalize Society

But more critical recognition and involvement with these ideas were to follow from abroad. Some time in 1972, Ivan Illich, the proponent of the thesis Deschooling Society was invited to India. A seminar on his thesis was organized by Council of Social Science Research Institute Delhi, to which I was invited. At the start, Illich made a suggestion, let one who feels he really has some original results, speak first. I began with the words, "I am a free lancer in Knowledge Communication that has earned many grass root average small farmers, truly very prosperous life and living on their own". No sooner I finished this line, Illich stood up and said, "We were thinking, we in Mexico and in America alone are with this Idea. Can you come to our place to share your results ?" That invitation took me to Mexico in July/August 1974.

I was the only one from the third world. I was again the first to speak. I gave an exposition on Prayog Pariwar concept, methodology and actual achievements. It made them realize, how Prayog Pariwar changes the very gamut of education & shows ways to not only to Deschool, but also to Declass, to Demystify, to Deprofessionalise Education. Prayog Pariwar takes the best and latest science and knowledge to the masses at no outside costs. It promises full equity in knowledge to all. It also joins the infinite resource of human grey cells to working hands to create plenty, prosperity, health, and happiness to all. It has the potential and power to stamp out the curse of ignorance and poverty from human existence forever. It ushers a non-violent silent grass root revolution to explode the myth of Global Economy as the only way to build prosperity. Unfortunately, this global prosperity is never to reach ninety percent of the population. Prayog Pariwar Methods are capable of achieving it.

The concept of Prayog Pariwar made it very clear to the experts of the world assembled there, to decide on pitfalls in Deschooling education, that in Prayog Pariwar concept there are no pitfalls in educating masses. . Prayog Pariwar changed the very core of education, making knowledge free for all & to make it reach at each one's doorsteps when one needs it, and that too whatever one needs.

I had many critical interactions with the group in the remaining days. The participants were enthused. Dr Heinrich Dauber from Germany urged me to write these views on knowledge communication for publication in German Language.

At the end of the conference a Declaration emerged. It proclaimed liberating education from its present approach. I would quote some lines freely as I remember.

"We believe that every person has full right to decide and acquire any type of knowledge in any form in any manner, anywhere, anytime. "

"No persons knowledge is more valuable than another's. It is simply different."

"Doctors, Engineers, Research Scholars and all professionals must part and share their knowledge to whosoever wants it and asks for it. "

Later, these views on 'Network of Knowledge communication' appeared in a German Publication. That introduction of my work took me to Kassel University, Germany in 1979, where various faculties wanted to have first hand interaction with me.

It was about three weeks stay. Before returning, I conducted a three-day conference, "Science for Rural Development". I was also to give a keynote address. In it I put forth the new Idea, 'Grey matter Revolution', revolution of the Grey cells of the brain. It is pooling of the Grey cells with the working hands, through Prayog Pariwar Methodology. In our days, it is said knowledge is doubling every day. Every one of us has full right on this human heritage. This emerging Education driven society is fast displacing the present Management driven society.

Another world-renowned educationalist, Paulo Freire, was also with me to lead the discussion. His views, 'Education for Political Action' and my views, 'Education for Total Life Actions' were well debated. His ideas of conscientisation, cultural invasion, cultural action, getting declassed and Prayog Pariwar's method of Demystification as a liberator, Venture as a tool, Venture networking for Grey matter revolution as a system etc., all got highlighted. All this report was fully published and made available.
